Question I’ve never backed up my PC. I don’t want an expensive NAS. What’s the cheapest way to not lose everything?
Mira Do 3-2-1 on a budget:
- Local copy Samsung T7 2TB. Fast enough for daily backups, compact enough to leave in your bag, and durable enough for real travel. Run Windows File History daily.
- Cold copy Second cheap HDD you plug in weekly. Keep it in a drawer away from your desk.
- Cloud Backblaze Personal or iDrive. Set upload speed limits so it doesn’t choke Zoom.
- Folders Documents, Desktop, Photos, Work repos. Skip node_modules.
- Test Restore one folder monthly so you know it works.
