The Mac edition of the MX Master 3S is the mouse people reach for when they are tired of the Magic Mouse. The owners below describe a heavy, sculpted shape with a thumb rest, two scroll wheels, quiet clicks and a battery they rarely think about. That matches what Macworld and Creative Bloq say in their reviews.
There is one thing to know first. As of October 7, 2026, Amazon shows this mouse as unavailable in both Pale Grey and Space Grey, and says it doesn’t know when or if it will be back. What Owners Criticize#
Bluetooth (mixed). Owners disagree. A Mac user who works all day says Apple Bluetooth is super stable with this mouse. But:
- A 1-star reviewer put a Mac inside a metal cabinet under a metal desk and found the pointer “crazy laggy,” with frequent Bluetooth drops. Moving the Mac next to the mouse fixed it. They returned the mouse. They are clear that their setup is unusual, but it is a warning if you have a lot of metal around.
- Two owners mention a short delay when the Mac wakes: one says it takes 2 to 3 seconds to reconnect, another says it takes “a heartbeat” at startup. Both call it minor.
- Amazon’s own AI-generated summary of reviews on the listing says connectivity gets mixed reviews, with some reporting seamless connections and others drops, and also mentions some left-click button troubles. That summary draws on all reviews for the listing and is not a failure rate.
The light-colored coating (one owner’s note, plus a defense). An owner of a month says the white rubberized coating is difficult to clean or keep clean. Another owner pushes back that stains come from handling the mouse after eating, so be aware of this if you pick Pale Grey.
Size. Macworld says the mouse is right-handed only and designed for medium and large hands. Creative Bloq says it can feel a little large for smaller hands.
Is There Anything Mac-Only?#
Logitech sells this as the Mac edition, with Logi Options+ on macOS. We could not find a feature that only this edition has. Logitech’s spec page lists support for Windows, Linux and Chrome OS too, and an owner who tried it on Windows 11 says it works perfectly there.
The differences we can point to are the colors and the receiver: the Mac spec page says the Logi Bolt receiver is not included. If you only use Bluetooth, that does not matter.

Logitech’s newer model, the MX Master 4 for Mac, is listed on Amazon in Space Black and in stock as of the same day.
