Use this checklist before a big ship day:
- Posture: Chair height = elbows ~90°, monitor top ~eye level, feet flat (or footrest).
- Lighting: Key light forward/angled, color temp 4000–5000K; no glare on screens.
- Audio: Mic 4–6" from mouth, headphones reachable; mute noisy peripherals.
- Cabling: No dangling loops in leg room; service slack for stand/sit; label power vs signal.
- Power: One spare outlet on the strip; backup USB-C cable coiled and ready.
- Focus guardrails: Notifications off, calendar blocked, water within reach, snacks set.
Run this weekly, and once more before any big ship day. Your desk should disappear when work starts.
